A little (long) while back my mother bought me a candle from one of those product parties that classy people often go to. I was intrigued by the soft orange creamsicle scent, but other than that I didn't pay it too much attention until now. It turns out the candle is actually Alloette's Hot Soy Treatment candle. <span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">I used it and I adored it so I thought I should share. Without even burning the candle it smells amazing from its natural orange and vanilla oils.</span></div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-VHdfv7rlSE4/VCx2AhIw6TI/AAAAAAAAAE4/JtP1zvVu54E/s640/blogger-image-1900206365.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-VHdfv7rlSE4/VCx2AhIw6TI/AAAAAAAAAE4/JtP1zvVu54E/s640/blogger-image-1900206365.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">To actually use the candle you can either heat it in the microwave, or you can light the cotton wick until a pool of the oils form at the base of the wick--this is what I opted for.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-i_Q4tRX6peU/VCx2CrUvr6I/AAAAAAAAAFQ/Nyn3mDfIaRs/s640/blogger-image--550450839.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-i_Q4tRX6peU/VCx2CrUvr6I/AAAAAAAAAFQ/Nyn3mDfIaRs/s640/blogger-image--550450839.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Then you simply blow out the candle...</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-skm-FAVKbWk/VCx2D-R_jZI/AAAAAAAAAFg/ejv0OJ6ZbjM/s640/blogger-image-1419810535.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-skm-FAVKbWk/VCx2D-R_jZI/AAAAAAAAAFg/ejv0OJ6ZbjM/s640/blogger-image-1419810535.jpg"></a></div><br></div>And dip your fingers in!</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-m2GGBZHYlVU/VCx2ACqj9RI/AAAAAAAAAEw/UDym_WZdSiY/s640/blogger-image-363780774.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-m2GGBZHYlVU/VCx2ACqj9RI/AAAAAAAAAEw/UDym_WZdSiY/s640/blogger-image-363780774.jpg"></a></div><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Do not fret! With the amount I used I was able to nourish my fingers, hands, arms, and even feet. However, by the time I got to my feet the wax was beginning to harden. I dipped about 2/3 of my nails into the wax, so I would suggest dipping your fingers in about 1/3 to get a good amount. </span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">My cuticles are pretty beat up, but the Hot Soy Treatment really helps to restore them!</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-XGXKMsMtQGw/VCx2B5kOckI/AAAAAAAAAFI/bGKXXwidp2Y/s640/blogger-image--1724842968.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-XGXKMsMtQGw/VCx2B5kOckI/AAAAAAAAAFI/bGKXXwidp2Y/s640/blogger-image--1724842968.jpg"></a></div><br></span></div><div>What I especially love is the way the scent lingers on your hands. Any time you bring them close to your face you can fall into that dreamy haze all over again. As if this product couldn't get any better, it is 100% natural. The soy wax burns 95% cleaner than your standard candle and produces very little soot (mine doesn't produce any). I am crazy for this product and I would highly recommend it! They have been discontinued but I believe you can still buy your own Hot Soy Treatment from Amazon!</div><div><br></div><div>-Little Lucy Bird</div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01091631720845081220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7842948400425046857.post-58749597435643094162014-09-21T12:15:00.001-07:002014-09-21T19:11:38.766-07:00Blog Post #1 - Something New<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>It's time! It's here! I've finally decided to get off my mopey bottom and start my blog. I've wanted to for some time now but something seemed to be preventing me... The ever so dreaded "<i>Excuses</i>". So what influenced me to push those awful things aside? Maybe it was the daunting fact that I am in my 13th year of high school and I feel as though I simply cannot go on. Or it could be that my older brothers will separately be touring the world doing what they absolutely love and I'm a tad bit jealous. Who knows ;)</div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-iqxhaoMR2mg/VB8j4-ZPrhI/AAAAAAAAAEI/YR4SttU9-O4/s640/blogger-image-570856838.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-iqxhaoMR2mg/VB8j4-ZPrhI/AAAAAAAAAEI/YR4SttU9-O4/s640/blogger-image-570856838.jpg"></a></div><i>Here's a random photo of me playing the only 2 chords I've learned on the mandolin.</i></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>If I'm completely honest, I'm not entirely sure what this blog will include. I predict that I will become inspired to do wonderful and incredible things that will be fully discussed here. However, while I practice pushing those "<i>Excuses</i>" out of the way again, I may cover some different topics. We can talk about arts and crafts (DIY), beauty, and the fiery passion I have for the song "Put Your Records On" by Corinne Bailey Rae. <i>(Check it out here http://youtube.com/watch?v=oWQl00LWEwE)</i></div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>I will try to post once a week to begin with and then we'll see how it goes from there.</div><div><br></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Please join me on my journey through the blog world!
